In this article I will cover 5 facts that you need to know before trying to start any fast muscle building workouts, there are a few key factors you must consider before getting started and it will help stop you wasting your hard earned cash.

Can you really gain muscle fast? That depends on your idea of fast, you cannot become huge in a couple of weeks, but you can gain a lot of muscle over about 6 months, 40lbs is not impossible with the right amount of effort.

Should you just start with supplements? Definitely not, supplements have their place if that's the way you want to go, but they are no use without first having the right workout routine and nutrition in place.

How long will you have to workout? That depends to some extent on how fast you want to get results, but you can over train which in itself can lead to poor results.
Three or four good workouts per week for between 45-90 minutes should get you some good results if done correctly.

Do you need to join a gym? Not necessarily, if you have the right equipment then there's no reason why you can't workout at home.
Although, if you can afford it, joining a gym can be a very good option.
Where you do your workouts is not as important as having the right workout system in place.

What about diet and nutrition? This is often over looked but really important, when you workout hard your body has to have the correct nutrients and enough of them to rebuild your muscles efficiently, this is how you get bigger, faster.
So now you know that it is possible to build muscle fast, without just relying on supplements, and that you don't have to belong to a gym.
