Intel Core i3 Processor Specs
- The Intel i3 series consists of five processors with speeds ranging from 2.26GHz to 3.06GHz. The i3 family of processors features a host of Intel-created technologies that allow for multitasking, better power management and an overall improved experience for PC users. Understanding the specifications of each i3 Processor can help you determine which processor will best serve your needs.
- All Intel i3 processors feature the following Intel technologies: Intel Hyper-Threading Technology, Intel Virtualization Technology, Intel Smart Cache, Execute Disable Bit and the Intel 64 architecture.
- All i3 processors offer two cores with four threads. The i3-330E, i3-330M and i3-350M processors use 3MB Intel Smart Cache, while i3-530 and i3-540 processors have 4MB Intel Smart Cache.
- Five Intel i3 processor types are available. The first three processors are part of the "300 series" and include the i3-350M at 2.26Ghz, i3-330M at 2.13GHz and i3-330E at 2.13 GHz. The chipsets of the "500" series also offer different speeds with the i3-540 at 3.06GHz and the i3-530 processor at 2.93GHz.
- Both Intel i3 500 series processors are DDR3-1066/1333 enabled chipsets with a maximum memory size of 16GB. The chips also offer two memory channels with a maximum memory bandwidth of 21 GB/s and 36-bit physical address extensions with ECC memory support.
- The Intel i3 300 series processors are DDR3-800/1066 enabled chipsets with a maximum memory size of 8GB. The chips offer two memory channels with a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.1 GB/s and 36-bit physical address extensions with a lack of ECC memory support.
