How to Make a Copy of an HP Recovery Disk
- 1). Right-click on the desktop. Click on "New" and select "Folder." Give the folder a name, if you wish.
Place the HP recovery disk into the CD or DVD drive. - 2). Click Start and select "Computer." Right-click on the D: drive. This is usually the default letter for the CD or DVD drive. Choose "Copy." Remove the HP recovery disk from the drive and insert a blank, writable disk.
- 3). Return to the desktop. Double-click on the folder you created to open it. Click "Organize" on the toolbar and choose "Select All." Right-click one of the highlighted files and select "Copy."
- 4). Go to Start and choose "Computer." Right-click the D: drive and select "Paste." The program will make a copy of the HP recovery disk on the blank disk. Use a permanent marker to label the disk.
