How to Send a Photo From the Windows Photo Gallery
- 1). Ensure that your email software is properly set up to send email. If it isn't set up or you don't use email software, open an email program, such as Windows Mail, to add your email account.
- 2). Click the "Start" button, then type "Windows Photo Gallery" at the Start Search box. Select the file from the "Programs" list. If you have not already done so, click "File" and "Import from Camera or Scanner" to download your pictures. Select a photo, then click "Fix." Click "Auto Adjust" to automatically change the brightness, contrast and color of the photo. Click "Adjust Exposure" and "Adjust Color" to edit your photo manually. Click "Crop Picture" to cut out unnecessary elements at the border of the photo. Select "Fix Red Eye" to remove redness caused by the camera's flash. Click "Back to Gallery."
- 3). Select a single photo, press SHIFT and click to select a range of photos in order or press CTRL and click to select only a few photos. Click "Email" to send them as an email attachment. Select the picture size from the drop-down menu. For best results, choose "Medium" or smaller, and check the "Total estimated size" below to ensure that the file will be small enough to send by email. Click "Attach." If your email software is properly configured, a window will open automatically.
- 4). Enter the email address of your recipient in the "To:" field of the email window. If you like, select the text within the email and replace it with your own message. Click "Send."
