How to Turn on File & Printer Sharing Remotely

    • 1). Click "Start All Programs." Open the folder labeled "Accessories" and click on the icon labeled "Remote Desktop Connection."

    • 2). Type the name of the computer you want to remotely connect to into the "Remote Desktop Connection" box. Click "Connect."

    • 3). Click "Start."

    • 4). Click "Control Panel."

    • 5). Click "Network and Sharing Center." Click "Change Advanced Sharing Settings." Click "Turn on file and printer sharing." Click "Save Changes." File and printer sharing has now been enabled remotely on your second computer.
