How to Set Up Mac for FTP Transfers

    • 1). Click the "Finder" icon on your Dock if it is not already selected.

    • 2). Click "Go," on the toolbar.

    • 3). Click "Connect to Server."

    • 4). Type "ftp://" followed by the FTP address of the server you wish to connect to. Press "Enter."

    • 5). Enter the login information if the FTP server requires it and press "Enter." A new Finder window will open for the server. This will also appear in the main Finder windows alongside your hard drives and network connection. You can use this folder like any other folder. This connection will remain until you either disconnect the server or restart your Mac.
