How to Use a Fake CD With DOSBox
- 1). Open a DOSBox window by clicking the “DOSBox” shortcut in your Start menu or on your desktop.
- 2). Type the following command into the DOSBox window, replacing “c:\path\to\fakecd.iso” with the full path to the CD image file on your system:
Imgmount d c:\path\to\fakecd.iso -t cdrom -fs iso - 3). Press “Enter” to mount the fake CD image in DOSBox.
- 4). Type “D:” into DOSBox and press “Enter” to switch to the virtual D: drive, where your fake CD image is mounted.
- 5). Execute a program found on the fake CD image by typing its name. For example, if the fake CD image contains a program named “install.exe,” type “install” into the DOSBox window and press “Enter” to start the installer.
