Restart the computer if it is on. If it is not running, press the power button to boot the system.

Tap the F2 key on startup if you have a Dell computer. Tap the F10 key if you have an HP. For other manufacturers and in general, look for a message that appears on startup saying "Press ** to enter BIOS or setup."

Look for the system to display the message, "Entering setup." The BIOS GUI (graphical user interface) will appear.

Use the arrow keys, tab and enter to make any changes you need to boot order, power options, or testing.

Select "Save and Exit" when finished to exit the BIOS and restart the system.
