How to Fix a Driver
- 1). Click "Start" and select "Control Panel." Double-click the "System" icon.
- 2). Select "Device Manager." Double-click the device type associated with the driver that is not functioning properly.
- 3). Double-click the device associated with the driver you wish to fix. Click the "Driver" tab.
- 4). Click "Update Driver." Select "Search automatically for updated driver software."
- 5). Follow the on-screen directions to update the driver. Close the "System" window and "Control Panel" display.

- 3). Double-click the device for the driver you wish to roll back. Click the "Driver" tab.

- 5). Close the "Device Manager" window. Close the "Control Panel" window.
- 1). Open an Internet browser. Go to the website for the company that makes the hardware associated with the driver.
- 2). Look for a driver download section of the website. This is generally under a "Support" link or "Downloads" link.
- 3). Follow the on-screen directions to download the driver. Double-click the downloaded file.
- 4). Follow the on-screen directions to install the driver. Close the driver install program and restart the computer if so instructed.
