How to Create Flash Screen Savers
- 1). Create a source Flash file that looks and sounds exactly like you want your screensaver to behave, including images, sound, and transitions.
- 2). Compile your Flash file as a .swf file. In most programs, this is done by selecting "Publish" and selecting "SWF" as the destination file format.
- 3). Select your original SWF file from within the Flash screensaver creation application of your choosing. (See Resources for three options.)
- 4). Customize your screensaver by specifying dimensions, speed, and other settings.
- 5). Save the screensaver as an .exe file. In most programs, this is accomplished by clicking "Publish" or "File," then "Save."
- 6). Share the .exe file with anyone who wants to use your screensaver. To install it, double-click the .exe file and follow the on-screen prompts.
