How to Create Flash Screen Savers

    • 1). Create a source Flash file that looks and sounds exactly like you want your screensaver to behave, including images, sound, and transitions.

    • 2). Compile your Flash file as a .swf file. In most programs, this is done by selecting "Publish" and selecting "SWF" as the destination file format.

    • 3). Select your original SWF file from within the Flash screensaver creation application of your choosing. (See Resources for three options.)

    • 4). Customize your screensaver by specifying dimensions, speed, and other settings.

    • 5). Save the screensaver as an .exe file. In most programs, this is accomplished by clicking "Publish" or "File," then "Save."

    • 6). Share the .exe file with anyone who wants to use your screensaver. To install it, double-click the .exe file and follow the on-screen prompts.
