One of its products is the ZMAX lighting control relay system, which fit DMX, a-2000 Modular and I Series e dimming racks and cabinets. A relay is an electrical switch, which help you control circuits via a low power signal. The ZMAX system helps you turn on and off your lights at scheduled intervals.

    • The ZMAX lighting control relay system works with networked lighting systems, including places with more than one building or big office buildings. It offers 8, 24 and 48 relay systems, and it incorporates with both the DMX and Luma-Net systems. You can control your system using the Lumagraphics lighting control software program, but you need a Windows-based personal computer (PC). The ZMAX lighting control relay system comes with an astronomical time clock (ATC), ensuring that your lights always shut off or turn on at the correct time. To use this clock, you just need to input your location, and then you can set the schedule based on time of day or when the sun sets or rises. The ATC clock is compliant with the California Energy Commission Title 24 for energy efficiency. This device is also compliant with Underwriters Laboratory (UL) requirements.

    • The Leviton relay system comes with a liquid crystal display (LCD) screen, which allows you to program your device via a keypad. It also has a wizard to walk you through the process of setting up your system. This system can keep up with the mechanical life of a 1 million switching cycle, which is significantly more than the UL standard. UL standards mandate that a constantly used relay system must have an electrical life of 6,000 switch cycles. The switch cycle is total amount of time it takes for the light to turn on when you flick the switch.

    Hardware

    • The ZMAX lighting control relay system features modular relay cards. Each card only has a single circuit on it. This means that if something goes wrong with a single circuit, you don't have to change out the entire circuitry. You simply change out the one relay card. The cabinets are made of metal and painted blue, and these cabinets are also large. This helps the technicians easily access the electrical components of the system. The display screen is located on the front panel between the bottom and top vent. You can lock the cabinet to ensure that no one illegally accesses your system.
