How to Make a Nice Anniversary Card on the Computer
- 1). Obtain your word processing program's card templates. Microsoft Works has templates already in the program. You can download templates for other processing applications too. A template is a guide to follow that is customizable.
- 2). Open your template. Click on the template in your download folder. You can also explore your processing program for stock templates. If the word processing program carries templates, they may display after opening. Search through your toolbar for additional templates.
- 3). Change the picture on the front of the card. Highlight the image, a box will appear around it. Click the "Insert" tab. Then select the "Picture" link. You may be prompted to select a picture or a clip art selection instead of seeing the insert tab. Scan your hard drive for a picture of the couple or their favorite setting. Resize the image according to the dimensions of the card. Click on the picture and move the boxes with your mouse. The corner box shortens the width while the top box moves the height.
- 4). Select the font and color of the opening and inside message. Click the "Text" button or use the quick launch toolbar. Under the image, add "Happy Anniversary" or "Congratulation". Click on the inside insert of the anniversary card. Add a poem or special message. Another image can follow the note.
- 5). Print the card. Place the paper inside the printer and click the printer icon. Select the "Print" button. Fold the top of the page to the bottom side and crease it. Then fold sideways, again creasing. Sign and send the anniversary card.
