How to Record CPU Usage History in the Log

    • 1). Log onto the Windows 7 system using an account with administrative tools.

    • 2). Click the "Start" button. In the "Search..." box, type "perfmon." Press "Enter."

    • 3). Click "Monitoring Tools," then click "Performance Monitor." The tool opens.

    • 4). Click the "Add" button and add the "CPU" counter.

    • 5). Click "OK" and the CPU will be monitored. A log is made of each event. This log can be viewed by clicking "File," "Open" and "Log."
