How to Find Stuff You Removed From Your Recycling Bin
- 1). Open the Recycle Bin and locate the file you need to restore.
- 2). Right-click on the file and select the "Properties" option. This will display the information for the file including the location where it was deleted from.
- 3). Select "Ok" and proceed to restore the item.
- 1). Click on the "Start" menu tab. This will load a list of files. At the very bottom you will see a "Search" prompt with an empty text box.
- 2). Type the name of the file in this box. If you cannot remember the full name of the file, a partial name is sufficient.
- 3). Click the "Search" button. This will load a screen displaying the file or a list of files with the partial name included. It may take several minutes depending on the size of the drive.
- 4). Locate your file in the list. Right click on the name of the file and select the "Properties" option. This will tell you exactly where the file is located.
