How to Hook Up a Subwoofer to a Computer
- 1). Connect the right speaker to the subwoofer via one of the audio connection cables that came with the sound system. Plug one end of the cable into the port on the back of the speaker, and the other end of the plug into the back of the subwoofer. The cable is color-coded to match the port on the back of the right speaker and a matching port on the subwoofer.
- 2). Attach the left speaker to the subwoofer via one of the audio connection cables that came with the sound system. Plug one end of the cable into the port on the back of the speaker, and the other end of the plug into the back of the subwoofer. The cable is color-coded to match the port on the back of the left speaker and a matching port on the subwoofer.
- 3). Find the port on the back of the subwoofer labeled "Output" and look at the color of the port. Pick up the matching color-coded cable and plug one end into the port on the subwoofer and the other end into the "Audio Input" port on your computer.
- 4). Plug one end of the power cord into the "Power" port on the back of the subwoofer, and the other end into an electrical outlet.
