How Can I Win My Boyfriend Back?

103 12
If you have recently had a breakup with your boyfriend you are probably trying to decide whether to move on and get over him or you may be asking "how can I win my boyfriend back"? Let's face it, neither option is easy but most people will fall in one of those two categories.
Either way, right now you really need to take a long hard look at your relationship and your ex boyfriend before you make any decisions.
Was it a loving, caring relationship for both of you or was it a bit one sided? Now I must say this right up front, if this was an abusive relationship it should be an easy decision - RUN AWAY and stay away.
No one deserves to be in that type of relationship so consider yourself lucky to be rid of him! If you decide that your ex boyfriend and your relationship is worth saving and you want to win your boyfriend back, then the first step is apologize and forgive.
Now I know what you are thinking, I wasn't the one who broke it off, he is the one that needs to apologize.
If that is true, then you still have to forgive them.
You may never forget what he did and you might say that I really don't feel like forgiving him.
I understand, but forgiveness is not an emotional response, it is something that you decide to do.
You make the decision that you are willing to forgive even if you feel hurt.
On the other hand, if it was you that did something that caused the breakup it is certainly up to you to ask for forgiveness.
Go to him and tell him you are sorry.
You may have to do this more than once but if you are truly sorry and want to win your boyfriend back, it should be a small price to pay.
If you are successful in winning your boyfriend back, there will be the "honeymoon" period that will last a few weeks or months.
Then those old issues might want to rear their ugly head.
It is never a good idea to go "digging up bones" and rehashing past problems.
The past is exactly that, the past.
Keep your focus on what is happening now and your plans for the future.
If you have truly forgiven him you need to let those old issues die and keep them buried.
I mean what good does it do to reopen old wounds? The best thing to do is just be yourself, be that person that he fell in love with in the first place.
He wanted to be with you because of certain qualities you posses.
Things like kindness, thoughtfulness, and a loving heart.
I know it will be hard to hide the hurt but concentrate on being the very best "you" that you can be and you won't be asking "how can I win my boyfriend back" you will already have him.
