    • 1). Pour the rainwater into the watering can.

    • 2). Add the baking soda, ammonia, saltpeter, sulfur powder, Epsom salts, liquid soap and a crushed Femiron tablet or heavily rusted nail to the rain water.

    • 3). Stir the mixture thoroughly with a wooden spoon. For acid-loving plants like blueberries and hydrangeas, add brewed coffee or distilled vinegar to the solution. Apply the plant food solution once a month until the soil around the plant is lightly moistened.
