How to Remove Scratches on a Stainless Thermador
- 1). Wipe the scratch and the area surrounding it with a soft cloth moistened in water. Dry the scratch and the area surrounding it with a dry, soft cloth.
- 2). Moisten an edge of a soft cloth with stainless-steel lubricant. Wipe the scratch and the area surrounding it with the edge.
- 3). Place the abrasive pad against the scratch. Rub the pad against the scratch in a line that follows the "grain" of the stainless steel--this is like the "grain" on a piece of wood and can be plainly seen if abundant light is shining on the surface of the Thermador stove countertop.
- 4). Rub the pad against the scratch for one minute. Inspect the surface to see if the scratch has been removed. Repeat the procedure if the scratch has not been removed, after first applying more stainless-steel lubricant.
- 5). Moisten an edge of a soft cloth with vinegar. Wipe the scratch and the area surrounding it with the edge.
- 6). Rinse the stainless steel in room-temperature tap water. Dry the surface with a dry, soft cloth.
