How to Remove Adhesive Residue
- 1). Place a paper towel on top of the unwanted adhesive. Place a clean cloth over the paper towel and iron over it until all of the adhesive is lifted off onto the paper towel. This method works well on fabric like clothing and carpet.
- 2). Spray the adhesive with WD-40 and allow it to sit for 1 minute before wiping the adhesive with a clean white cloth. This method works on any surface. Clean the area as you usually would once all the adhesive is gone.
- 3). Press clear tape to the adhesive and pull away until the adhesive is all gone. This works well on any surface.
- 4). Use nail polish remover and a clean white cloth to remove adhesive from any surface.
- 5). Dampen a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and scrub away the adhesive from any surface.
- 6). Mix together equal parts of baking soda and water until it becomes a paste. Use the paste and a clean cloth to rub away the adhesive. Rinse the area with a warm damp cloth. This method can be used on any surface.
