How to Get Great Abs Without Killing Yourself!
Abdominal-specific exercises will only be worth our time and effort if by doing them we can do no more than around 20 to 25 reps in a set before we are unable to do any more.
If we are able to do more than this amount of reps this means there is not enough resistance in that particular exercise to have much in the way of results.
So how to get great abs without killing yourself? Ideally we should be aiming at around 8 to 15 reps per set to gain maximum benefits.
This type of ab-specific exercises that will provide us with the most resistance will involve curling of or raising of the legs and the pelvis either in an upward movement or inwards, towards the trunk.
For example, knee raises, lying hip thrusts or hanging leg raises are all excellent in providing resistance within the abdominal area.
We need to remember however, that the key point to having flat or ripped abdominal muscles is to reduce the amount of belly fat to the point that we are able to "see" the definition below the skin.
Without getting rid of that stubborn belly fat it would not matter how many ab exercises we do and how intense they were, we would still not be able to see the muscles so there would be no point.
And this is the same for both male and female.
Regardless of what sex you are you need to turn your attention to using the best exercises to reduce stomach fat, which are in fact non-specific to either sex.
