How to Fit a Greenhouse Cover
- 1). Fasten retaining clamps at the base of your greenhouse along the frame about every 6 to 8 inches, using a screwdriver and/or pliers and following the manufacturer's proprietary instructions.
- 2). Measure the height, width and depth of your greenhouse with a tape measure.
- 3). Lay out polyethylene sheeting on the ground and cut it to fit over the greenhouse with scissors, leaving an extra 6 inches on each side for stretching over the greenhouse.
- 4). Spread the cover over your greenhouse and then stretch it to fit snugly. Clamp it into place using the retaining clamps fastened to the base of the greenhouse frame.
- 5). Cut off excess polyethylene sheeting if desired, or lay bricks on top of the excess for added retention.
