How to Water Your Plants With 7Up
- 1). Prepare the water for the cut plants or flowers. Mix 1 pt. of room temperature 7-Up, 1 pt. of lukewarm water and 1/2 tsp. of chlorine bleach. Do not use diet 7-up. It must have sugar in it.
- 2). Remove the leaves near the bottom of the cut plants or flowers so that none will be placed in the 7-Up and water mixture. If the leaves stay wet in the water, the water will quickly become foul.
- 3). Snip the ends off your cut plants or flowers at an angle so it can better uptake the 7-Up mixture. Use a sharp knife or garden clippers to make a fresh, clean cut.
- 4). Place the cut plants or flowers in the vase and replenish the water as necessary. When the water becomes mucky, cloudy or has a foul odor, replace the water with new water that again has been mixed with the 7-Up and bleach.
