Sinks and Tubs

• 1). Pour half a cup of baking soda down the drain, followed by half a cup of vinegar.
  
  
• 2). Cap the drain quickly, and let the mixture sit until the fizzing stops, about 15 minutes.
  
  
• 3). Flush the drain with hot water. The baking soda and vinegar will loosen any blockages down the line to the septic tank.
  
  

Toilet

• 1). Sprinkle baking soda around the inside of your toilet bowl. Add more to the surface of your toilet brush.
  
  
• 2). Scrub the toilet with baking soda and the toilet brush. For difficult stains, add vinegar to your toilet brush, and scrub over the baking soda. The fizzing action will help loosen stains. Baking soda and vinegar are natural cleansers that will keep your toilet sparkling.
  
  
• 3). Once weekly, pour 1 cup of baking soda down your toilet, and flush. The baking soda will scour the septic lines, loosening any blockages, and is safe for your septic tank.
