Foam Board Glitter Door Tag Ideas
- You can make a three-dimensional nametag to decorate your door with foam board, scissors, tape and glue or glitter glue. Cut the foam board into a rectangle or long oval to create the nametag. Use the remaining board to cut out the letters of your name. Tape or glue the letters to the tag so they are raised off the nametag. Be sure the letters are secured firmly. Use multiple colors of glitter glue to decorate the tag with designs and images to personalize the nameplate. Mount the tag to your door with tape.
- Cut the foam board into your favorite shape. Consider making a skeleton for Halloween, a pine tree for Christmas or a cake for a birthday. Use glitter glue to create a design on the tag. If you don’t want to use glitter glue, spread a thin layer of regular glue over the foam board and sprinkle loose glitter over the glue before it dries. This will create a sparkly, swirled layer of glitter.
- Cut the foam board into any shape you desire. Rectangles and squares work best for message tags. Use glitter glue to write a message you want to hang on your door, such as “Welcome,” “Happy Birthday” or “Keep Out.” Wait for the glitter glue to dry and tape the door tag to the outside of your door.
- Door hangers are useful if you want a removable door tag, since they do not need to be taped to the door. Cut a rectangle out of the foam board. Be sure the width of the rectangle is at least one inch wider than the diameter of your doorknob. Cut a hole in the center of the top section of the rectangle large enough to slide the hole over your doorknob. Use glitter glue to write a message or create a design on the tag.
