How to Install a Belkin Notebook Card in Windows XP

    • 1). Power on the Windows XP laptop computer and wait for the operating system to completely boot up.

    • 2). Push the cover to the PCI express card slot in to unlock the card. Once unlocked the card cover pops out of the PCI express card slot slightly, allowing you to remove the cover from the computer.

    • 3). Slide the Belkin notebook card into the open PCI express card slot. Once the card is completely inserted a light appears on the side of the card, signifying the card is properly installed.

    • 4). Insert the driver installation CD into the disc drive of the Windows XP computer. Momentarily the driver installation wizard appears on the screen.

    • 5). Accept the license agreement, then click "Next" to accept the installation name and location as-is. Select "Install" and the Belkin notebook card drivers install onto the Windows XP laptop. Restart the computer and you are ready to begin access wireless networks with the computer.
