    • 1). Create a Windows 98 boot disk by clicking "Start," and then "Control Panel," and then double-clicking "Add/Remove Programs." Go to the "Startup Disk" tab and click "Create Disk."

    • 2). Insert your blank CD or DVD into your computer's CD/DVD drive and follow the on-screen instructions to create a Windows 98 boot disk.

    • 3). When your computer is having problems booting, insert the boot disk into your computer's CD/DVD drive Turn on the computer and wait for the command prompt to display on the screen.
