How to Reload Windows XP Without a Disk
- 1). Right-click the Windows "Start" button and select "Explore" from the context menu to launch Windows Explorer.
- 2). Navigate to the C:\i386 folder and click on the folder in the left navigation pane. The subfolders and files will be listed in the right pane.
- 3). Locate and double-click the "winnt32.exe" file. The Windows XP installation wizard will launch.
- 4). Press the "R" key to start the "Repair" process. The Repair process will reload the Windows XP operating system.
- 5). Click through and answer the terms of service and localization prompts, and click "Next" until the wizard has finished.
- 6). Click the "Finish" button.
- 7). Click the "Reboot Now" option and allow the computer to reboot into the refreshed Windows XP installation.
