Removing Black Mold From a Rubber Refrigerator Lining
- 1). Lay plastic sheeting on the floor by the refrigerator to protect it from bleach you may drip.
- 2). Pour bleach into a small plastic container and place an old toothbrush in it. Put on goggles to ensure that bleach that may spray from scrubbing does not get into your eyes.
- 3). Open the refrigerator door and scrub the affected area of the door gasket using the toothbrush and the bleach. You may have to work at it, but eventually you will be able to remove the mold.
- 4). Fill a sink with hot water and add two squirts of dish soap. Use a dishrag and the soapy water to clean the bleach from the door gasket. Rinse with clear water and dry with a dish towel.
