Homemade Fridge Magnets
- Your favorite photographs can be turned into framed fridge magnets. The ends of orange juice concentrate cans need to be washed and dried thoroughly. Photos can be trimmed to fit just inside the circumference of the round can ends to create a frame, using glue to affix them. After gluing magnetic strips to the backs of the framed photos, they are ready to decorate the fridge.
- While it may not be the kind of "chick magnet" you're thinking of, this cute yellow chick magnet is perfect for spring or Easter. A yellow oval made from construction paper, adorned with googly eyes, a drawn-on beak (made with orange marker) and some yellow feathers from the craft store glued on are quickly transformed into a baby chick. By gluing a magnetic strip on the back, you have your own chick magnet to display on your fridge.
- Displaying photos of your kids in action is always fun, and turning those action shots into fridge magnets is a creative and simple project. You'll need sheets of self-adhesive magnets, which are usually easy to find at most craft stores. After you've cut out the action shot of your child and affixed it to the magnetic sheet, all that's left to do is cut out the magnetic sheet using the photo as a template. You might want to make extras to send to out-of-town relatives.
