How to Get a Cooking Oil Stain Off the Wall
- 1). Sprinkle cornstarch on the cooking oil stain, and let it sit for several minutes. Dust the cornstarch off the wall with a paper towel. Alternatively, create a paste with three parts cornstarch and one part water, and spread the paste over the oil stain before waiting several minutes to wipe off with a damp cloth.
- 2). Examine the cooking oil stain. Continue with the remaining steps if the discoloration is still visible on the wall.
- 3). Submerge a clean sponge in white vinegar. Hold the saturated sponge over a sink, and wring out the excess vinegar.
- 4). Rub the cooking oil stain in a gentle circular motion with the vinegar-dampened sponge. Continue for several seconds. Wipe the vinegar off the wall with a damp cloth.
- 5). Repeat the entire process until you have removed all traces of the cooking oil from the wall.
