    • 1). Place the fabric on a firm, heat-proof surface, such as a counter top or a cutting board. A regular ironing board is too soft and will not allow you to properly bond the starch with the fabric.

    • 2). Clip loose threads from the edges of the fabric.

    • 3). Spray starch on the front of the fabric and then flip it over.

    • 4). Heat up a dry iron and press from the back of the fabric to bond the starch with the fibers.

    • 5). Allow the fabric to cool before picking it up.
