When a relationship seems to be going great, why do men suddenly pull away? Things come crashing down in a hurry.
Fun and excitement turn into anger and resentment.
Fun nights out turn into heated arguments at home.
Love and affection turn to distance and defiance.
And before you know it, he's pulled away completely, ended the relationship, and left you confused over what just happened.
Understanding Why Men Suddenly Pull Away For a man to remain happy in a relationship, he absolutely MUST feel loved, accepted, understood, and admired for who he is.
He needs to know you accept him just the way he is.
He needs to feel like you love him for him and not for his potential.
Women are great at making a man feel this way early on in a relationship.
They often admire everything about him.
They compliment him and tell him how amazing he is.
They may see faults in him, but they look past those and mistakenly think they can change him.
Then, as the relationship goes on, many women slowly start trying to change a man.
Many women don't even realize they're doing it.
It's simply second nature to a woman to want to beautify and improve things.
But men absolutely hate it when you try to turn them into something they're not.
If you try to change a man, he will pull away no matter how beautiful you are.
Most women don't realize the best way to get what you want from a man is to admire and appreciate the things he does well.
The reality is, it's a lot like training a puppy.
Men respond much better to positive reinforcement than they do to nagging and complaining.
However, few women approach men this way because they mistakenly believe that positive reinforcement means letting a man get away with and do whatever he wants.
So what do they do instead? If a man does something wrong, a woman lets him know about it.
She starts identifying all his faults and flaws.
Pretty soon a man feels like he can't do anything right.
He can't do anything to keep her happy.
He can't win.
And when he feels like he can no longer win in the relationship, then he suddenly pulls away.
Instead of complaining, criticizing, and trying to change a man, reward him for the things he does right.
When you take this approach, you can literally train a man to do everything in his power to make you happy.
The reason why men suddenly pull away has to do with them feeling guarded, alienated, and defensive.
Men aren't good at expressing their emotions, so he may feel distant from you for quite some time before you ever even realize something is bothering him.
