How to Write on Plexiglass
- 1). Test dry-erase markers on the plexiglass. They should leave a clear mark that is easily read and also easily removed with minimal fuss. Darker colors will make your message more legible than lighter pastels like yellow or pink. If you erase the message and notice residue, spray the plexiglass with a warm water and vinegar solution to clean it off.
- 2). Use permanent markers on the plexiglass if you're drawing something you want to keep or writing something you'd like to be permanent. Place a white sheet of paper under the plexiglass to give yourself improved visibility so you don't make a mistake.
- 3). Dip a fine paintbrush into acrylic paint and use the paintbrush and paint a permanent message on the plexiglass in various colors. Paint gives you more color options and a glossier finish. Make sure to allow the paint to dry thoroughly overnight to avoid smearing.
