How to Exit ESX Vi
- 1). Open the VMWare Infrastructure Client. All VMWare servers display in the left pane.
- 2). Right-click on the ESX server to show the context menu for the server.
- 3). Click the “Shut Down” option from the context menu. The ESX server shuts down.
- 1). Click the Windows “Start” menu to show the Search box.
- 2). Type “cmd” without quotes and press “Enter” to open the DOS command window.
- 3). Type "shutdown -h now" without quotes at the command prompt and press the “Enter” key. The selected ESX server halts and exits.
