Runaway From the Recession - The Decision - Part One
After my position recently became redundant with the advertising firm I worked with which gave me little option but to resign and move on.
Now obviously my thought line is: "where to now?" Firstly, the revenge type ideas of "I will prove them wrong"" or "I will show them.
" Who has thought this is all too hard and let's make a break for it? Let's take the gamble and run-away from the recession and the financial crisis! Then realisation that maybe this is my chance to open a new chapter into my book! "Ding!" The blinkers have been on for so long that one forgets about one self's dreams and aspirations.
So how do I want this book to progress? How do I want to grow and develop as a person after all those years of doing it for some-one else? What are my talents? What talents did I have prior to being a mover and shaker of the advertising sales world? What passions have I been harbouring for all these years? Firstly, I need to analyse what I require in my next phase.
If one is going to change and reinvent themselves successfully the key elements of what you personally require is of utmost importance.
In my case I feel the necessity for more new challenges,excitement, inspiration,growth than the first half of the book! I also feel I have paid my dues and really do not want to go back to those 12 plus hour days with there full on stress wheels and high demands! It is time to throw off the heckles and change my outlook by saying what have I got to lose? "AH" the memory begins to return and dredge up those long held down dreams! The ones that we had not dared to dream for any years! Or had the time to dream about for years! So what are my dreams? What have I put on standby or just touched the edges on for so many years? Firstly I love to travel and meet people from all different walks of life.
I am a gypsy at heart and a lover of the human race.
I am a "foodie" and love to cook and discover different foods and how they go together.
I relish the ethics of the "slow food society" and sitting back and enjoying the feast with good company and good wine.
I am a communicator so not only do I love to chat but I enjoy writing!.
I am sure there is a book in me somewhere! The next thought line is the realism and how to implement! I still need to earn an income! I still need to eat! How can I sustain what this chapter decrees and still live in the comfortable, relaxed lifestyle as I so desire? One thing I do know is this chapter is to be on my terms and with my rules!
