    • 1). Cover your work surface with old newspaper. Glue desired images, decorative paper or small objects into the clean bottle cap with E-6000 glue, making sure nothing protrudes above the rim. Allow the glue to dry for 5 minutes.

    • 2). Mix your craft resin with a catalyst in a disposable cup. Wear a mask and gloves to protect yourself and carefully follow the manufacturer instructions for your particular brand of resin. Stir the resin mixture with a craft stick for 2 minutes, making sure to mix in the resin on the sides of the cup.

    • 3). Carefully pour the resin mixture into the bottle cap. Filling just to the rim of the cap will result in a concave surface and filling slightly above the rim will give your pendant a domed look. Let stand for 5 minutes to allow air bubbles to escape.

    • 4). Pass a heat gun about 10 inches over the surface of the resin for several seconds to remove any remaining air bubbles. Let the pendant dry for 24 hours.

    • 5). Drill a hole 2 to 3mm from the top of your pendant. Only use a dremel or hand drill. Traditional drills generate too much heat and will melt the resin.

    • 6). Thread your large jump ring through the hole in the pendant. Cut a length of leather cord a half-inch shorter than the necklace size you want. String the bottle cap pendant onto the length of leather.

    • 7). Apply a dab of jewelry glue into a crimp end and thread the leather cord end into it. Crimp and hold in place for 60 seconds for the glue to set. Repeat with the other end of the necklace. Attach each crimp end to the clasp with a jump ring. Let the jewelry glue dry for 12 hours before wearing your necklace.
