    • 1). Open the hood. Find the air filter assembly on top of the engine. Use the Phillips screwdriver to take out the screw on top of the assembly. Pull off the top of the assembly. Place the top and the screw aside in a safe place.

    • 2). Remove the Banks Turbo air filter from the air filter assembly. Tap the filter on a hard surface to break up any hard dust or debris. Use the toothbrush to brush away dust and debris. Brush between the creases on the filter and on both sides of the filter.

    • 3). Spray the filter with filter cleaner. Pull creases apart and spray between them. Be sure to spray the entire filter. Let the filter sit for 10 minutes to give the filter cleaner time to work.

    • 4). Rinse the filter with a low pressure stream of water. Thoroughly rinse the filter from inside out. Spread apart the folds and rinse between them.

    • 5). Shake the filter to remove excess water. Let sit until it is fully dry. Do not put a wet filter back into the the filter assembly because you could suck water into your engine.

    • 6). Place the filter back into the filter assembly. Replace the cover and tighten the screw by turning it clockwise until it will not turn any more. Close the hood of the vehicle.
