Taxi Driver
Step Two: Paragraph
Below is the original paragraph used for this combining exercise. Of course, other combinations are possible.
Taxi Driver
I have worked for the G&M Cab Company for the past six months. In this time, I have located every back alley in the city and discovered every shortcut. At the same time, I have learned how to stay out of trouble and still make a decent income.
No one has ever robbed me, and no passenger has ever refused to pay the fare. My passengers have seemed to appreciate my good service. I have raced to the hospital with expectant mothers, carried bags of groceries for older folks, loaded huge sacks of potatoes into the trunk, and even tied a wheelchair to the roof of the cab. In return, my passengers have usually rewarded me handsomely with some generous tips. A few of my regular passengers have even invited me to their homes. They have fixed meals for me, offered me drinks, and introduced me to their families. I have learned to love my job.
