• Visit an electronics retailer, and buy some display polish. Displex is one brand that is widely available. While some people might suggest home remedies or using a special automotive scratch cream, there is peace of mind that comes with buying a product and using it for its manufactured intent.

• Rub some of the display polish onto a microfiber cloth, and rub it directly onto the screen. The severity of the scratch might require pressing harder, but this should not damage your screen. Once the scratch is removed, wipe off the screen with a clean microfiber cloth. Leave no residue on the screen.
  
  

Prevention/Solution

• Buy protective film to cover the screen. A wide variety of plastic covers are available, and you can buy them at the same store where the display cream is sold. The brand and type of film may be dictated by your type of MP3 player, but finding one for the Zune is easy.
