    • 1). Check the fuse in "position 20" in the fuse box if the anti-theft system isn't working as expected. This fuse also covers the radio; if the radio is also malfunctioning, it's likely the fuse is to blame. Inspect the fuse for a break; replace it with the same amperage and color. The fuse box is in the passenger compartment, to the right of the steering wheel. Use the tweezer-like puller tool provided in the box.

    • 2). Replace the battery in the remote control; it is powered by two batteries. Twist a coin between the two halves of the transmitter to open it. The positive side of the coin-type battery faces down. Place the transmitter in your pocket if it is cold. Your pocket will warm it up, and might alleviate problems.

    • 3). Triggering the alarm can occur if you are inadvertently pressing the panic alarm feature. The button marked "Panic" sets off the alarm. This button is located close to the "Unlock" and "Lock" buttons on the remote control.
