Autocad 2000 Problems
- If the Autocad 2000 program refuses to start up at all, a key file may have been deleted or corrupted. The best solution is to apply the latest updates available from the Autodesk website or uninstall and reinstall the software using the original discs.
- The best way of tackling specific error messages is to run a quick search on the Autodesk support forums. If there is an issue with the software, Autodesk may have released a software patch that you can download and apply. If the issue lies with the file that you're trying to work with, you may have to save it in a different format.
- AutoCAD 2000 may have issues running under Windows 7. If you are running the Windows 7 operating system, try launching AutoCAD 2000 in Compatibility Mode or in XP Mode (if supported by your system). Full instructions can be found on the Microsoft website (see Resources).
