What Is Really Keeping You Up At Night?

So you went to school.
You completed your course work, passed the tests, wrote a final exam and you couldn't wait to get your hands on your first paying client.
Gleeful and inspired you got your business cards and were ready to get to work.
The first client may have been a family member.
The second was your best friend and you handed your cards out everywhere.
"Um, where is the lineup of eager clients?" Soon enough you came to the realization you were going to need some new clients and fast.
Every new holistic entrepreneur experiences this.
Panic ensued.
You set out to do some market research on the internet to see what other folks in your industry are up to, investigate website development and client attraction tactics.
Instead of a day of market research in hand; you left feeling overwhelmed, under qualified and bewildered as to why you even bothered on this life purpose.
This unease feels horrible - physically, mentally and emotionally.
It keeps you up at night, gives you headaches and tends to beat your self-worth down.
(I know - I've experienced this along my own journey).
You may have found yourself saying: "Well, if this is what it's like to go at 'er alone, I'd rather just work for someone else.
Maybe that toxic, deeply unsatisfying, draining the very life-force from me job wasn't so bad.
" Or perhaps you snuck a peak to see if Starbucks is hiring.
Apparently they have great benefits.
The one thing I uncovered in my own life that has kept me unwavering on my own "solo-prener" journey is that your feelings of anxiety and worry have nothing to do with not getting enough clients into your practice or your savings running out.
Not really.
The real reason you're anxious is that you think you are responsible for producing the results you desire.
Read that again.
You feel that in order to be a success, you must have a pit bull kind of determination, be in total control, walk solo, take the bull by the horns, figure everything out and then get out there and make it happen.
You feel like you are the one who is responsible for running your show and producing the outcomes.
It's utterly exhausting and terrifying - isn't it? I'm happy you are reading this if you have been feeling this way.
And I'm here to remind you that you've forgotten that you have a silent, invisible partner who walks with you and talks through you.
You have constant access to connect in, on a daily basis, with the Divine - or whatever you call that benevolent presence.
You've forgotten that you were called here to seek the fullest expression of your life.
You've forgotten that you were called to do this "Great Work" and that whatever called you will keep on calling you and guiding you, day after day, without fail.
You're feeling alone and overwhelmed because no one taught you that you are the fawcette, not the water.
You are the vessel.
You are not running the show.
And, you're utterly supported by a life force beyond your comprehension.
And you are in every way loved and safe always.
Your parents didn't tell you.
The "business plan" doesn't have a spot for this and most marketing gurus and schools don't address this.
Jeepers! And so, because of the mere fact that no one is really addressing this in business, it has become one of the things I love most when working with clients.
I love helping them to build a solid foundation within themselves so that they remain peaceful, resonant and inspired about their life purpose as a healer, regardless of the circumstances.
Becoming internally prepared and building this inner foundation helps to ground you, keeps you connected to your overall vision, harnesses your conviction to staying the path and helps to minimize neurotic and self-sabotaging thoughts.
Your Assignment So what do you do to that brings you deep peace? Do you have an entity like God, Creator, Life Force, Universe, your higher self, Source, Spirit, your intuition, or Buddha that you connect with? Or do you receive kinesthetic inner inklings within? Or do you feel hits of inspiration and clarity when you're in nature, exercising or singing.
Regardless of who you hold in your heart as a sacred entity and how you receive these deep feelings, what matters is that you connect in with this daily because there is no other foundation more safe, credible and solid than that.
Prepare yourself for your day every day.
Connect inward.
And when you start a project, write an email, create content for a talk or your website ask for something greater than you to speak through you.
Before you coach with a client, do a massage, offer a consultation or give a presentation, silently give over the task at hand to a different "power".
Take a breath and just let go.
And remember, you are not alone.
You have a walkie talkie with the Divine that is accessible to you 24 hours a day.
You are not responsible for ANY outcomes.
Your only job is to be a blessing on the world, shine your light, and be a vessel for a higher power to work through you.
And when stress and anxiety show up, let them be nudges to remind you that you're making up a silly fairytale that you are the all-powerful, all-responsible being in charge.
Have a chuckle with yourself, hand over the power and release the results.
