How to Make Suncatchers Using Stained-Glass Paint

    • 1). Clean the glass panel or unpainted suncatcher with warm soap and water. Dry thoroughly with a clean lint-free cloth. If you're using a premade suncatcher, skip to Step 4.

    • 2). Trace your pattern on the glass panel by placing the glass on top of the sketched pattern. Use a thin marker to trace the outlines.

    • 3). Open the tip of the applicator bottle that contains the liquid lead. Apply uniform pressure as the applicator is squeezed. Apply the liquid lead along the outlines of the pattern. Allow to dry thoroughly.

    • 4). Paint each section of the pattern using the stained-glass paints and paintbrushes. Use a different brush for each color.

    • 5). Fill in tight corners with a cotton swab dipped in the paint. Remove any excess paint with a cotton swab before it dries. Allow the paint to dry thoroughly.
