How to Troubleshoot Vista Startup
- 1). Insert the Windows Vista setup CD/DVD into the CD/DVD drive of your computer and then restart your computer.
- 2). Press any key to boot from CD or DVD when you are prompted to do so.
- 3). Click to select the language that you used to install Windows Vista on your computer from the "Language to install" drop-down box on the Install Windows dialog box. Similarly, select the "Time and currency format" and "Keyboard or input method" from their respective drop-down boxes, and then click "Next."
- 4). Click "Repair your computer" on the Install Windows dialog box.
- 5). Select the installation of Windows Vista that you want to repair on the System Recovery Options dialog box and then click "Next."
- 6). Click "Startup Repair" below "Choose a recovery tool." This will find and fix Vista startup problems on your computer.
- 7). Click the "Finish" button and then click "Close."
