Take it from me I had to learn the hard way and by doing these things I only made my ex hate me more.
If you are doing any of the following STOP AT ONCE

• Calling every day, several times a day
• Calling you the friends of your ex to relay messages
• Sending multiple messages on Facebook or myspace
• Having your friends contact you ex.
  

All of these things only do two things.
They annoy your ex and reassure them that they have made the right decision with the break up.
The other thing that it does is make you appear desperate and let your ex know that they have the upper hand.
This is the worst thing that you can do to save your relationship.
Relationships are all about value.
So you have to realize that the more valuable you seem the more power you have.
Doing any of these things brings less value to you and more value to your ex.
They may start to get a bigger ego and realize that they can do better than you.
You may also give the impression that you are weak and they are better off without you.
