How to Clean a Mr. Coffee Coffeemaker
- 1). Unplug the coffeemaker.
- 2). Wipe the outside of the coffeemaker using a damp cloth and mild dish detergent, if necessary.
- 3). Dry the coffeemaker completely before plugging it back in.
- 4). Empty the contents of the coffee pot into the sink, and rinse it with water.
- 5). Remove or open the filter basket, throwing away the old filter and used grinds.
- 6). Pour 4 cups of white vinegar into the coffeemaker's water reservoir.
- 7). Put a clean, empty coffee filter into the coffeemaker's filter basket, closing the basket.
- 8). Place the coffee pot back on the warming plate.

Wait roughly 30 minutes after the white vinegar has moved from the water reservoir to the coffee pot. - 11
Empty the vinegar into the sink and throw away the used coffee filter. - 12
Fill the coffee pot with water, and pour it into the water reservoir. - 13

Repeat the water flush as many times as necessary until all the vinegar is washed from your coffeemaker.
