How to Remove a Brad Nail Without Damaging the Wood
- 1). Wrap a cloth around a block of wood and place the wood on the floor or wall near the nail.
- 2). Grasp the head (or end if the head is missing) of the brad nail with a pair of pliers.
- 3). Slide the claw of a hammer around the nail between the pliers and the wood.
- 4). Pry the nail out by bracing the handle of the hammer against the block of wood and pressing down, using the wood to lever the nail out while securing the brad with the pliers.
