How to Disable the Gamma Correction Display Driver

    • 1). Open the Device Manager. Click on the Start menu in Windows 7 and Vista and type "Device Manager" into the search bar, then press "Enter." In Windows XP, right-click on My Computer and select "Properties." In the Hardware tab, click the "Device Manager" button.

    • 2). Click the plus symbol to expand the "Display Adapters" section. Double-click on the Gamma Correction software in the list.

    • 3). Click on the "Driver" tab in Windows 7 and Vista. Click the "Disable" button to turn the display driver off. You will need to confirm the operation. In Windows XP, click the "Device Usage" drop-down menu in the General tab and choose "Do Not Use This Device (Disable)."
