Balancing Home Business and Family
The good news is that if it is handled properly, it can actually increase both your business income and time with family.
1.
Create a schedule for the whole family.
Divide chores between the family...
make a list and attach to the refrigerator or some other highly viewed area.
Call a family meeting and make sure that everyone knows what is expected of them.
By doing this, it will usually cultivate a feeling of togetherness and security.
They will also do better because they know that if one family member lets another family member down, they will hear about if from the entire group.
2.
Plan ahead 7-10 days.
Prepare a grocery list...
plan meals for the next week or so in advance.
This will not only save you time, but money too.
3.
Plan your home business schedule 1 week in advance.
Allow for just a couple 2-4 hours per day at the most.
It is best to do an hour or two in the morning and an hour or two in the evening if possible.
Always allow an extra 15-30 minutes for unscheduled things, but no more...
be sure to stick to this! 4.
If you are married, be sure to spend time with your spouse.
Schedule a consistent date time every week...
don't neglect this! 5.
Schedule family play time.
You work hard on your business so don't forget to play hard.
This will keep you and your family more balanced and happy.
You will find that your business will be much more enjoyable and fun as well.
Sunday's are one of the best days to do this.
