Acurite Wireless Weather Station Instructions
- 1). Remove the battery compartment screws on the wireless sensor with the screwdriver and lift off the cover. Insert 2 "AA" batteries. Replace the cover and screw it down tightly. Remove the battery compartment from the main unit by pushing the retaining clip up. Install 3 "AA" batteries. Replace the battery compartment and press down firmly until it clicks into place.
- 2). Press the "Set" Button to enter "Set Mode." In this mode, you make the initial clock and calendar settings, and set the scales for temperature and barometric pressure. Within 24 hours, the clock will sync with the National Institute of Standards and Technologies atomic clock in Colorado and adjust the time.
- 3). Select your time zone with the "UP" and "DOWN" arrow buttons. Press the "Set" button to save the setting. "DST" will flash. Press the "UP" arrow button to turn Daylight Savings Time on or off. Press "Set." "Clock Hour" will flash. Push the arrow buttons to set the hour. Press "Set." "Clock Minute" flashes. Press the "UP" and "DOWN" arrow buttons to set the minutes. Press "Set."
- 4). Press the arrow buttons to set the date. Press "Set." "Calendar Month" flashes. Push the "UP" and "DOWN" arrow buttons to set the month. Press "Set." "Calendar Year" flashes. Press the arrow buttons to set the year. Press "Set." "Temperature Scale" flashes. Push the "UP" arrow button to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Press "Set." "Barometric Pressure Scale" flashes. Press the "UP" arrow button to switch between inHG and hPa. Press "Set." You will exit "Set Mode" if no buttons are pressed for 30 seconds.
- 5). Place the main unit indoors in a dry area away from heat sources and without direct sunlight. The back should face the general direction of Colorado to receive the strongest signal from the atomic clock. The main unit can be hung on a wall or placed on a flat surface with the included stand.
- 6). Place the wireless sensor outdoors away from direct sunlight, heat sources, water or sources of moisture. The unit is manufactured for outdoor use, but should be placed in a location away from direct weather elements like rain and snow.
